Littleton Village Hall
The Hall, originally a Wesleyan chapel and then a school, is located in the south west corner of the village. It comprises two halls, a kitchen, toilets and recently renovated paved courtyard. The buildings are owned by the church and have had major renovations, with grants from the National Lottery, Parish Council, and Churngold Environmental fund. The Hall is well supported by the villagers, and is operated by a management committee who organise a variety of social events and functions. Day to day funding is by gift aid, donations, events, functions and lettings. Whilst gift aid is the largest source of income, the annual village auction in the White Hart is a very popular and major fund raiser for the Hall which helps keep events and functions at a very low cost to users.
In addition to talks, reviews, fun & games, the hall hosts three or four ‘American' suppers a year, which are always well attended and have become important village social networking occasions. In the evenings the hall is regularly used for band practices and occasionally for keep fit and art classes.
